The 2nd San Joaquin International Film Festival (SJIFF), the flagship annual exhibition of the San Joaquin Film Society, took place May 14 to 24, 2009 at various venues in Stockton, California. A glorious world showcase of new and innovative works from emerging talents and master directors was presented with many onstage appearances by visiting directors and actors.
SJIFF 2009 showcased an exciting and diverse collection of 21 feature-length films and 102 short films from 41 countries around the world.
Audiences were able to get a taste of the cinemas of Argentina, Austria, Australia, Canada, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Germany, Guatemala, India, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Latvia, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Malaysia, México, The Netherlands, Nicaragua, Pakistan, the Philippines, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Uganda, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America!
