2014 Line-Up

With 15 motion pictures produced in 20 countries, the 7th San Joaquin International Film Festival opened on January 3rd, 2014 at 6:30pm with the Homecoming Premiere of "A River Changes Course," by Stockton-raised and internationally-known filmmaker Kalyanee Mam. The director was in attendance and was presented with the festival's Journey Award. Due to high demand, "A River Changes Course" had an encore screening after the festival on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 6:00pm. The successful 7th SJIFF welcomed over 1,500 people in attendance and had four sold-out screenings.

A River Changes Course and Director Kalyanee Mam

The festival will run January 3-5, 2014 in Stockton, California at the Janet Leigh Theatre, on the campus of University of the Pacific. The thematic strand of the festival is "We Are Connected," and selections have been curated by SJIFF founder-director Sophoan Sorn.
