Welcome to SJIFF9

The San Joaquin International Film Festival has been an exclusive opportunity for the San Joaquin community to discover some of the best of recent independent films from around the world, empowering multi-cultural appreciation, awareness, and dialogue.

Hear Us Now is the theme of the 9th San Joaquin International Film Festival, calling us to listen and respond to urgent stories, experiences, and topics that are relevant locally, globally, and personally.

Special thanks to all the partners and underwriters for your generous support. Thank you to the festival team, collaborators, and volunteers for your dedication and advocacy, and for sharing your skills and talents. Thank you to all the filmmakers, production companies, and distribution agencies for sharing your brilliant films with us. I am grateful for you, the audience, for embracing and supporting the many films that have come to the SJIFF screen through the years. Happy holidays and best wishes for the new year to come.

Respectfully,
Sophoan Sorn
Founder, Festival Director, and Curator
