About the Director

Jimena Muhlia is originally from Mexico City. She holds a degree in Architecture from UNAM and also specialized in structure design. Currently she is on the pre-production of her thesis project to graduate in film direction program at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica. She is also working on the post-production of the experimental mixed media documentary Suspended Particle. She has experience in production design, editing and sound in short films. In her history, as well, she counts on participations in theater as an interpreter and dancer. Her short film Evaporado has participated in several international film festivals. La Caja China, another short film in which she directed and edited under the production of Gloria Carrasco, was awarded the bronze medal at the World Stage Design in Taipei in 2017.
